Review of Cosmopolis (2012) by Adrian B — 16 Jun 2013
In the early 90's, David Cronenberg directed a slew of pretentious, boring movies like Dead Ringers, The Naked Lunch and M. Butterfly. Old time fans of Scanners and Rabid received a little encouragement from the releases of A History of Violence and Eastern Promises.
It seemed like Cronenberg was back to plot driven, comprehensible movies. I flipped this one off after about an hour, even though I am also a Don Delillo fan. Maybe I would have more patience if it didn't star Robert Pattonson, but I doubt it.
