Review of Corpse Bride (2005) by Clay — 20 Nov 2005
Disappointing but not unexpected. Burton hasn't made a decent flick since Ed Wood, and I believe we are now seeing the decline into mediocrity of he who was once Hollywood's rebel. Corpse Bride was flat, the voice acting was dull (why would you get Depp to voice act? Give me a break), the music was forgettable (and annoying at the time) and the story never really got going.
The animation itself was fine, but too clinical. Mr. Burton, your time is up.
