Review of Corpse Bride (2005) by Denver R — 28 Oct 2013
In trying to create a unique palette contrasting a pale overworld with a vividly colored underworld, Tim Burton's Corpse Bride lands mostly somewhere in the middle ground. And at a measly running time of only 74 minutes, (about 15 of which are eaten up by drab, underorchestrated, and uninspired musical numbers) we as the audience are allowed no time to get to know any of these characters, making it nearly impossible to take anything away from the film.
*1.5/4*.
