This movie became more enjoyable towards the end. The start was a bit too slow for my taste. Burton did a great job of introducing the characters and the setting, though.
The transition into the underworld happens too quickly for me. I would have loved to see some more character development beforehand and some more back-story on the underworld. I don't like songs in movies that explain storylines, so they got a bit lost on me there.
The movie's greatest quality is the originality and the sheer brilliance of the animation itself. All in all a pretty good job.
