Beautiful! :D Tim Burton has just set the bar to a new high for animated flicks. I seriously don't know where to begin. I guess I'll start by saying that I love Tim Burton's movies. Edward Scissorhands, Sweeney Todd, Sleepy Hollow, the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory remake.

.., this guy is the fucking master. After seeing his vision The Nightmare Before Christmas directed by Henry Selick, I was so thoroughly impressed that I just had to see some more stop-motion animated films.

The next one that caught my attention was Corpse Bride. Stop-motion? Tim Burton? Johnny Depp? Helena Bonham Carter? Hell yeah, give me some of that! As soon as the movie started, I was already drawn in with the stunning visuals.

What I also really liked was the character design, it just worked perfectly. Let's not forget of course that the voice actors here are very talented. And as for the singers? Well, not surprisingly amazing.

The musical numbers were witty, catchy, and very well written. What was really cool is that the movie was funny when it was supposed to, sentimental when it was supposed to, everything just "fit like a glove".

Let's not forget that this movie is filled to the brim with creativity. The dead being more colorful and cheerful than the living, skeletons playing instruments made out of each other's bones in a musical number, the surprisingly beautiful corpse that is Emily, and that's not even a tenth! Excellent movie! I'm sorry How to Train Your Dragon, there is a new champion that just took your title for favorite animated movie! While the reviews for Corpse Bride are indeed very positive, I sometimes read from fans that Corpse Bride is one of Tim Burton's weaker movies.

I don't know what the fuck they're smoking, because this is the definitive animated flick. Bravo! 5/5 stars.
