Lovely movie. The songs and soundtrack are eerily beautiful - classic Elfman.
Very similar to The Nightmare Before Christmas. It brilliantly combines the dark, quirky comedy of Nightmare with the relatable problems and morals of a romantic comedy. Proposal, wedding planning, cheating, reconciliation, etc.
All the main characters of this movie are ethereal and gorgeous.
The ending was heart-wrenchingly bittersweet, since the Corpse Bride didn't get to be with Victor as she selflessly gave up her love so that he could keep his life and be with Victoria. But this movie makes me wonder if he might have been happier with the Corpse Bride. The dead people seemed a lot happier and more fun. What if?
