A lot of it was very bland (particularly the songs), but as the film progressed, I enjoyed it more and more. The visual style is gorgeous to behold, and there were quite a few puns in the writing that made me giggle out loud, but the end result is mostly forgettable stuff.
Great voice-work by Johnny Depp, who is undetectable with his on-spot British accent. Don't think kids, nor adults for that matter, would like this too much. It's just...okay...ish. Watch it if nothing's good on TV.
