Review of Corpse Bride (2005) by Sujit O — 10 Dec 2013
Tim Burton's art style is surely one of my favourite art styles out there and yet again in this stop motion animation, Tim Burton takes the animation a step further from his previous projects and it really looks amazing for a stop motion picture.
When it comes to the story, as wacky as the story may seem at first, the story pipeline is quite predictable.
However with each character having such distinctive personalities such as the parents and especially the dead creatures, the story is always interesting and never bores you even though you might know what is eventually coming up!
Voice acting was also good although not quite as good as Disney,Pixar or DreamWorks standards.
One factor I loved in this dark animated tale was the ending, it was bitter-sweet unlike the "happily ever after" ending you see in all the other animated movies, and some of the underlying points they bring up like loving a girl for her prsonality instead of the looks, and so on really make this movie a good watch.
