Review of Corpse Bride (2005) by Kyle R — 21 Oct 2014
For all its ingenuity and style, "Corpse Bride" is a problematic story that aims for children and adult audiences alike, but misses both targets in the process. Its songs are often stale and un-musical like, its character restrained, unlovable and inconsistent.
We can see Tim Burton trying and failing to recreate the magic of his previous stop motion endeavours, and that makes it even less satisfying.
