Review of Coraline (2009) by Leonard E — 01 Jun 2014
Whoa. I don't know how I made it 5 years without seeing this, but I'm glad I finally got around to it. It has a couple of weird story elements, but it is so visually striking that it makes up for it all.
It also has the distinction of being the first feature film mastered in 3D. It takes a seriously dark turn about halfway through. What Nightmare Before Christmas did with music, this movie did with imagery.
Highly recommended, Grade A.
