Review of Copying Beethoven (2006) by Deborah P — 29 Jan 2013
Portrays a more brutish side of Beethoven than one might imagine possible when listening to some of his music... but then, considering the moodiness and drama of much of his music, it sort of makes sense! Characters were not all as well developed as they could have been - the only relationship the director really seemed interested was the one between the copyist and Beethoven.
However, it inspired me to dust off some CDs I haven't listened to in ages and I'm glad I did.
