Review of Copying Beethoven (2006) by Anis T — 29 Apr 2009
It's hard not to enjoy the music in this movie about Ludwig Van Beethoven and how he hired a girl copyist to help him write his ninth symphony. Ed Harris is very good as the deaf musician, and Diane Kruger did a fine job aswell, but the movie isn't that memorable.
There's something missing in there and it's a shame because it could have been a terrific movie. Still my favorite part remains the spectacular ninth symphony concert (and it's easy to see why).
