Excellent movie. The disagreements people have with the portrayal of Beethoven are understandable. However, Beethoven was historically bad tempered and suffered from severe untreated bipolar disorder. The portrayal seems 'typical' and follows stereotypical ideas about creative people because Beethoven created those stereotypes.
He is exactly as portrayed. Listen to the music! You can hear it.
