Revolting mess from concept to completion. Horrible blow to the possibilities of presenting Beethoven's struggles and enormously original creative output at least more accurately. Sadly the "presentation" of the Ninth Symphony is also a let down.
--Americans who wish to hear a great performance of it should check out the brilliant recordings of Robert Shaw and the Atlanta Symphony,. They knew what they were doing!
