It couldn't have been easy being released the same year as Se7en. Copycat is a serial killer movie that feels as if it was made for TV. Still, the performances are top notch. Weaver is excellent and it's also wonderful to see another strong female character in the lead - Holly Hunter, who also does a bang-up job.
A shame the plot is rather pedestrian.
