Something became very clear after watching this. Kevin Smith needs to stick to his own material. But I almost get the sense that he either had some uncredited rewrites or it was written for him. There are bits of Kevin Smith sprinkled into the dialouge.

And he shouldn't direct action scenes. They were a mess. Almost felt like I was watching an action scene from some made for tv movie back in the early ninties. Now Tracy Morgan tried to channel the likes of Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawerance and failed horribly.

Most of the jokes fell flat and broken. Then Bruce Willis looked so damn bored. This is the guy who has battled numerous terriorist trying to take over a building, an airport, a city, a country, African warlords, and aliens.

Now the only thing you can give him is some ghetto Mexican drug thug over a baseball card. FUCKIN' SERIOUSLY! And then they managed to drag it out almost 2 hours. Then you have some other side characters played by some talented people and hardly use them.

Seann William Scott, Kevin Pollak, Jason Lee, and the amazing hotties Michelle Trachtenberg and Rashida Jones. Totally underused. Michelle had maybe 3 lines and a minute of screen time. Rashida not that much more.

But in the end if you watch this for Kevin Smith you'll do worse with Jersey Girl. If you are watching this for Bruce you'll do an unbelievably lot worse with Hudson Hawk. I always heard how bad that was.

Never thought a movie could be that bad. Man I was totally wrong.
