Review of Cop Land (1997) by Jake S — 20 Oct 2007
Another cop drama, and guess what? It's good. I know its got Stallone, but he really shows off his acting ability in a story that isn't an action extrvaganza. The characters really draw you in because everything feels real.
Stallones character isn't a big tough guy knifing everybody. He struggles to help his community and bring down corrupt cops who belittle him at every turn. James Mangold who directed Walk the Line and 3:10 to Yuma makes a great film.
