Review of Cop Land (1997) by Tyler S — 06 Mar 2014
The potential is there for this to be a great classic cop film. The plot is decent but there is so much more to be desired. It's a story of corrupt cops in a small New Jersey town, and the easy going sheriff who lets it happen til the end when he wises up.
It just shows how good a movie like LA Confidential is. Has the same premise but the details are more complex in a way you can understand. Not saying this is a bad movie. The cast is A list. There was just so much more left to be desired.
