Review of Cop Land (1997) by Kyle V — 18 Dec 2009
He problem with this film isn't the cast, that's for sure. This film has the best of the best all in one spot. I just wished they would've gather an all star cast like this for a film that had a better script. The storyline isn't fleshed out enough. The character of Freddie has alot of loose ends that never are really tied up in the end and all of the rest of the characters are quite uninteresting. Stupendous acting by every actor and actress in the film, but without dialogue that is intriguing and without a a plot that can keep someone guessing, the film falls short of being great and turns into a mediocre film.
On a side note though, the sound editing was nicely done in parts, integrating Sheriff Freddie's hearing problem and making it a part of the audiences viewing experience.
