Review of Cop Land (1997) by Jon — 06 Sep 2008
An underrated film with an all-star cast. It was very interesting seeing Stallone in such a dramatic role. He pulled it off with such brilliance though. Everybody I talk to didn't like him because he was too dumb and oaf-like.
But I tell them that that was how the character was meant to be portrayed. And then you have the likes of Robert De Niro, Harvey Keitel, and Ray Liotta adding their collected genius to the film. The movie moves a little slowly but the ending is intense.
