Review of Cop Land (1997) by Arthuro M — 16 Oct 2011
Cop Land was a thrilling yet at times slow ride through a town of corrupt cops. The main character played by Stallone was a reserved and lonely sheriff of a small town full of cops from a nearby large city that was full of corruption.
His character was very likable and at times you felt bad for him because he got pushed around and never did anything about it. The other characters in the film were all great and included a lot of big names like Liotta and De Niro.
There were spots here and there that were slow and dragged on but overall the plot was griping and left me wanting to know whats next. The ending was great when Stallone finally took a stand against the bad cops and really made a solid ending to an enjoyable cop film that I is different then others I have seen before it.
