Review of Cop Car (2015) by Troy F — 21 Aug 2015
Cop Car takes a concept so simple and makes it work extremely effectively, more than you'd expect it to. The film deals with the consequences that are made when two young boys steal a cop car they find.
Obviously, trouble comes their way, but its the film's unique way of twisting the story and the whole idea of who's good and bad that gives the film a real dose of tension that's remarkable.
How Kevin Bacon's character is dealt with at the end is questionable as to whether it works or kind of cops out, but given the film's appropriate ambiguity as the film cuts to credits, the film still redeems itself well, and its only a bit of a nitpick at what is otherwise a very solid film.
