Review of Cop (1988) by Cultural E — 02 Jun 2007
Cop should have been a really good movie. It had a lot going for it. It was based on a James Ellroy (L.A. Confidential, The Black Dahlia) novel, adapted and directed by Stanley Kubrick's old producer James B.
Harris and - last but most certainly not least - it starred James Fucking Woods. Woods is great, but the movie is plodding and the ending as abrupt and unsatisfying as the title.
