Review of Coonskin (1975) by Keenan S — 12 Oct 2012
This is film that deals with the issue of racism and crime, and like other Bakshi films, it's batshit crazy, which is why it's so enjoyable to watch. This is a film that feels like Bakshi is releasing his frustrations and opinions after doing a shitload of drugs because this utterly surreal.
However, it does get its messages across, no matter how strange it gets.
