Review of Cool Hand Luke (1967) by Janne T — 31 Dec 2008
It had been a while since the last time I saw Cool Hand Luke but it was as good as I recalled. Paul Newman as Luke is a definition of cool as much as Steve McQueen in Bullitt. No wonder they sell salad dressing with Newman's face.
The most important thing about the film is keeping the hope alive and not 'letting the man get to you' as the prisoners state many times during the movie. AND if you don't like drama, there's a scene where a car is being washed in a slightly odd but yet exciting way.
Krhm.
