Review of Cool Hand Luke (1967) by Andrea W — 13 Apr 2009
I can see why this one is considered a classic. It is truly timeless. Paul Newman was a fantastic actor, and really breathes life into this character. This story of a spirit that refuses to be broken by the sadistic prison bosses is really one of the best.
It reminds me a little of Shawshank Redemption, only with more grit and and attitude. I'm so glad I finally gave it a chance.
