Review of Cool Hand Luke (1967) by Erika B — 31 May 2009
One of the most well-made movies i've ever seen... it's set on a beautiful scenery contrasted by the ugly truth about the inhumane treatment of prisoners. you can sympathize with Luke and also want to get acquainted with the other characters, especially with Dragline. The ending was inevitable but it left me feeling hope. Paul Newman, with his darling blue eyes dissolved into the main character and truly perfected his acting skills, especially on the scene where he was crying and playing the banjo.
A definitely must see classic movie. I don't think any person will watch this movie and not like it (maybe except for prison guards, but then again, who doesn't like underdog movies?).
