Review of Cool Hand Luke (1967) by Ashank C — 11 Jun 2009
Slow pace to the narrative but that really represents a South from another era. Some of the technical work in the film is tremendous, especially the way the camera is used and positioned. This another of those films I like from this period since it is such a departure from what classical Hollywood offered.
Paul Newman is great as the title character....all he does is smile. Highly recommended.
