Review of Cool Hand Luke (1967) by Millo T — 24 Aug 2009
Cool Hand Luke is a film carried by the characters that inhabit it. It's much more than the swagger and determination of Luke (with a grin on his face at almost all times). Without Dragline and the other prisoners or the Captain and his guards Luke would have nothing to play off of.
It's almost a shame that the film does little more than meander from scene to scene without much sense of purpose but with great characters the film still manages to be entertaining as hell.
