Review of Cool Hand Luke (1967) by Ryan L — 07 Mar 2010
Great movie with an odd, but effective score. Newman carries the film as the title roll, and referencing him as Christ-like (the egg scene where he looks crucified, the other inmates "eating off him" literally and figuratively, losing his support before being martyred) while positioning the "Boss with no eyes" as Satan like is a pretty effective characterization.
This has to be seen if only for the great "failure to communicate" speech given by the Captain.
