Review of Cool Hand Luke (1967) by Karen D — 17 Apr 2014
It's easy to appreciate Paul Newman. He makes Luke, a petty criminal - who would be diagnosed with PTSD today - into the underdog we're rooting for, no matter how many times he opposes the law, and even though we haven't heard much good about him.
The script is well-written: a slow exploration of what really is right vs. wrong.
