Review of Cool Hand Luke (1967) by Richard S — 29 Sep 2009
I don't see why there is such broad appeal for this film. Luke is a character would ignore his own instincts to swim as he drowns, just to prove he doesn't have to listen to anybody. In the end he is his own worst enemy and has no one to blame for his fate but himself.
It's frustrating to watch.
