Review of Conviction (2010) by Roxanne R — 11 Apr 2011
FANTASTIC!! More so considering its a TRUE Story!! Hilary Swank and Sam Rockwell give dramatic performances in this incredible story of a murder trial in Massachusetts. Swank plays the role of Betty Anne Waters, a single mother, who staunchly believes her brother's pleas of innocence and exasperated by the failings in the justice system decides at great personal cost to earn a high school diploma, a college degree and finally pass a bar exam in order to lead the fight for his exoneration.
That is one of the strongest sibling bonds I have seen and this movie will leave you cheering for Betty Anne Waters because their childhood was very bad, and they came from a low income family. What this woman accomplishes is simply EXTRAORDINARY AND THREE CHEERS FOR CONVICTION!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
