Review of Convict 13 (1920) by Maico * — 06 Feb 2008
Classic Buster Keaton film. Not one of the best because it didn't really have as many of his usually stunts in it which is what makes the films stand out in the first place. Although the plot made up for that because it really was funny.
A man gets knocked out and an escapee convict changes their clothes and the wardens catch Keaton and take him to prison. Lots of funny things follow. I have to mention a shot where Keaton is hit and he does this bounce back and a few rolls.
It's just brilliantly done as he lands perfectly with his back right up against the back wall with the timing just perfect. Only Keaton could do something like that to perfection. It is a must see Keaton film and isn't to be missed.
