Review of Conversations with Other Women (2006) by Farah Q — 08 Aug 2007
A witty and endearing (yet heartbreaking) story of lost love. as you follow these two exes throughout the course of their night, you can't help but be drawn into their lives and their minds; it is a character study in it's truest form.
while I still don't know how I feel about the use of split screen (aesthetically speaking, I found it bothersome at times, particularly when we'd see different takes of the same scene) it is a physical representation of how disconnected these two characters feel.
the chemistry between aaron eckhart and helena bonham carter is absolutely tangible and they give two phenomenal performances.
