Review of Conversations with Other Women (2006) by Ralph R — 16 Oct 2008
Even though this movie has some high points, it is evident that the moral compass has been chucked out the bloomin' window so to speak. Let's see. Two people become lovers, part ways because of a trite reason, move apart, and reunite years later at a wedding. After some witty banter, the two realize that neither has change but continue on with their little game because it just "feels right". The irony of the situation is that neither has changed, leaving the viewer to wonder how they could ever expect things to work out between the two. Honestly, the very idea of this film is terrible. If it failed so miserably and no one thought of calling the other in over a ten year span, it ain't going to go anywhere. It's liking trying to turn a fig newton into a dragon.
I would rather buy a whole mess of booze and go driving with Ted Kennedy than watch this film again.
