Review of Conversations with Other Women (2006) by Olivia R — 22 Apr 2010
This movie didn't immediately draw me in in the first 10 minutes. I wasn't sure if I liked the way it was filmed or if I really felt like watching these two people trade glib snatches of dialogue.
But then, I surrendered myself to the fasciunation of watching two amazing actors play of one another for 80 minutes. Bonham Carter and Eckhart were a pleasure in these roles and I loved how the split screen technique was used in so many different ways, my favorite being when it showed alternate deliveries of the same line.
All in all, a really interesting film with two marvelous performances.
