I will try to be gentle. I would like to assume that this movie did absolutely nothing for me because it's years after the fact and I already know this stuff from media studies and other sources. Honestly though, I don't think it was the subject matter that was so much the problem as the actual filmmaking itself.
It lacked structure, cohesion, and creativity. I feel as though Noujaim went out and did some killer research with some great footage and then dropped the ball. I truly am really, really sorry. I wish I liked this more.
