Review of Control Room (2004) by James H — 26 Oct 2004
This movie is so fascinating in that it takes all the hallmarks of the American (mediated) perspective of the war in Iraq and adds the context that has been so lacking. The movie talks about the different portrayals of the war as seen through western and Arab media outlets and depicts startling overlaps within the material.
I also like the semi-cohesive attitude of Journalists as depicted in the film. It made me feel all warm and fuzzy that people could gather together under occumpational common ground despite the war shaking the walls.
