Renowned photographer turned filmmaker Anton Corbjin tells the story of the short lived but influential career of the late Joy Division frontman Ian Curtis. The cinematography does not only make this film unique and deeply close up and personal, but it also conveys to perfection the nature of the character on which the film is based.
Sam Riley's careful and well timed performance as Ian Curtis is great.
