Wow - this was a powerful film. Being a huge 80's Brit band fan I really like most Joy Division songs and I really like New Order - but I had no idea about the circumstances behind the death of Ian Curtis and the bands evolution into New Order until I saw this.
I just assumed (wrongly) that it was another drugs, alcohol fuelled death...how wrong I was. Samantha Morton was brilliant as was Sam Riley and he sounds uncannily like Ian Curtis. Would recommend it to any Joy Division fans.
What a sad ending to such a promising talent.
