Corbijn made the Joy Division songs work perfectly with the action in the film. You can't really talk about "action", though. Story-wise it's a very quiet and slow movie, maybe even too slow sometimes and too quiet to feel the characters.
But the absolutely amazing imagery makes up for it! Intense!
