Review of Contracted (2013) by Charlie B — 16 Sep 2014

**spoiler alert**.

It started off interesting: girl has unprotected sex and turns into horrible std.

But then it jumps the shark: the protagonist never goes to the ER, the mom is unnaturally oblivious, friends hit on her even when she looks horrendous, and then she turns into a zombie.

Then there are just all these plot dead ends - the guy she slept with had police looking for him, but why? we are never told. she and her mom have obvious tension, but that's never explored besides her mom doesn't like fact she's a lesbian. she's obsessed with appearances, ex cleaning up after herself after she crapped out a ton of blood instead of going to ER and saying she's fine to everyone, but that's never explored. there's also some competition she got into plants but that's never explored.

Overall this film would've been much better with some more common sense and tighter plot - or at least run with zombie theme and have her kill more people.

Btw - maggots don't just appear in rotting flesh, they come from eggs which need to be laid. how did a fly get up her vag??
