This movie vacillates from cliche to compelling the entire time you're watching it, but when it's good, it's GOOD! I agree with the New York Time's comment, "the ending to this fable misses the opportunity for broader metaphorical resonance, but getting there has its own unnerving rewards.
" Still worth a watch. As with most of my film recommendations, you need to have a strong stomach.
