Review of Contraband (2012) by Richard C — 29 Aug 2012
A sure-fire candidate for the worst film of the year, Contraband suffers from a lack of relativity or sympathy for any of the characters, even the good ones, and ultimately the dire script just gives us more reason for not caring about those, even when as viewers, we should.
Mark Wahlberg does not need to make films like this, and if he had any sense, he would stick to being involved in classics like The Departed or The Fighter and no longer bother with these unoriginal and yawn-inducing rubbish that some people actually have the nerve to call entertainment.
