Review of Contagion (2011) by Topher M — 02 Nov 2012
For me this film felt like the series Lost; I was so entrenched with it for the majority of the first two acts, but by third it became clear to that it had spread itself too thin. In its entirety, Contagion was a great film; fantastic acting/directing, and an overall top notch thriller.
However, it's multiple perspectives of the singular event left a void in developing and ultimately bringing closure to any one perspective. I felt the final scene in particular was completely beside the point and easily the least significant aspect of the film.
Would've been a five star classic with just a little bit more depth of character(s).
