Review of Contact (1997) by Andy T — 20 Nov 2016
In the film "Contact", director Robert Zemeckis creates a world that has just received transmission with an extra terrestrial source, yet the film dives into controversial topics, more so than the average science fiction film.
The product is a somewhat long film that discusses conflict between scientific knowledge and religion, including the implications such knowledge. Overall it is a interesting story with good acting from its lead, Jodi Foster, and great special effects.
"Contact" leaves us with the idea that even if you do not believe in God, having faith in something may be just as important.
