Review of Constantine (2005) by Faisal A — 22 Aug 2014

I would love it if someone would take the time to explain to me just what the hell it was I supposedly sat through? To say this is unfocused is an understatement. There really didn't feel like there was any ambition put into this adaptation of an interesting (at least I heard it was) comic book series.

Keanu Reaves is horrible, and didn't give me the impression that Constantine went through hell. The logic in this film is thin and doesn't feel like there was any care given to make sure it was sustainable and used efficiently.

I didn't care about what was happening half the time, and always felt like I was not apart of this experience. Too "by the numbers" and would fail as a b-movie because it wasn't done well.

Peter Stormare was pretty cool as Lucifer however. The thing that didn't surprise about this movie after seeing this, is that Akiva Goldsman was a producer on this film...
