Review of Conspiracy (2000) by Chris J — 28 Oct 2008
Close, but too many negatives make it impossible for me to recommend. Firstly, the acting. Conspiracy stars Val Kilmer, who I think is one of the most talented actors to possess the ability to turn quality acting on and off.
He sleepwalks in parts, as he tries to unravel what happened to his friend in a podunk western town. Almost everybody else in the movie is amazingly one-dimensional and one-note. Also, there is the message of the movie.
You cannot deny that this is a left-winged propaganda movie. All that being said, I was entertained by it and never got bored. All in all, better than you would think for a direct-to-dvd movie.
