My 2nd favourite of the series, in spite of it's massive holes (i.e. the date of 1991 should be 1993, and that it's virtually impossible for other primates to evolve from the tree to near-human sophistication in 20 years).
The realisation of a sterile, miltarised human society was amazing and totally believable, and the conditioning processes of the Apes was fascinating. The final scenes are among my favourite in all cinema.
..they always leaving me dumbstruck. Roddy McDowell, Don Murray and Hari Rhodes were outstanding, particularly during the finale.
